shores with a unique and famous charm; the promontory of Capoliveri (Elba Island),
a protected natural reserve of the Tuscan Archipelago Park, with Mount Calamita, its ancient
mines on the sea, visitable with bicycles and kayaks (Free) and the suggestive Costa dei Gabbiani a
fabulous succession of beaches.

From Casale two shaded footpaths lead (about 1200 metres source from booking.com) to Naregno, a sandy beach which is particularly suitable for children and to lovers of snorkelling thanks to the scenery of the seabed of the ancient lighthouse of Forte Focardo towering over the close headland, next to the beautiful and wild beach of Capo Perla.
During the summer the Marebus shuttle bus makes daily runs from early morning and late into the evening, to and from the beaches and the many tourist centres of the municipality. The bus stop is 500m from the Casale and next next to the supermarket with ample free parking and with E-Mobility charging.
In the evening, in the Capoliveri old town centre you can feel an evocative atmosphere among its artist markets and craftsman’s ateliers, meetings of art, literature and poetry while extemporized concerts are held in the corners of its picturesque alleyways.
About 700m from the Casale the old mining road and the 'Bike Park' leads the visitor to one of the most enchanting placeson the Island which is a natural reserve of the Tuscan Archipelago: the Mount Calamita with its old iron mines. There you can enjoy stunning views over the Archipelago Islands. The promontory is crossed by miles of forest tracks and dirt roads perfect for doing nature walking, Nordic walking, Mountain biking 'Wild' jogging and mine trekking in an evocative landscape that becomes surreal sometimes because of the geologic characteristics of the soil which blends together with the deep colours of the blooming vegetation.Many tracks wind down towards Costa dei Gabbiani a wonderful succession of tiny, unspoilt beaches, bays and coves which are otherwise accessible by sea only.
