Thermal Treatments

At Terme Isola d’Elba, mud and thermal bath therapy is available, whose pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties have been scientifically proven. The mud, salt-iodine water, algae and marine plants come directly from the thermal basin adjacent to the spa.

Thermal marine mud is effective in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatism, post-traumatic conditions, psoriasis and other skin disorders, as well as in the treatment of cellulite.

Sea water is used for thermal baths, whirlpool baths and salt-iodine hydromassage treatments, providing beneficial effects for the vascular and lymphatic systems.

Algae and marine plants, processed into the concentrated decoction Alghelba™, help reduce joint pain in patients suffering from osteoarthritis, prevent cellulite, and make the skin soft and elastic.

Thermal treatments are natural therapies recognised by the Italian National Health Service. Upon payment of the required co-payment, guests can receive 12 mud treatments and 12 therapeutic baths over the course of 12 sessions. Only a prescription from a general practitioner or specialist is required.

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

The Thermal Rehabilitation Centre, open all year round, offers a qualified service in the field of orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, as well as for all osteoarticular disorders and conditions resulting from surgery or sports injuries.

The primary goal is to enable patients to recover their functionality and reduce pain in the shortest possible time.

Following the initial assessment, the physiotherapist establishes a personalised treatment plan, scheduling manual and instrumental therapies while also making use of the therapeutic synergy of thermal treatments.

Wellness Centre

In the Wellness Area, guests can enjoy facial and body treatments, massages, beauty treatments and rituals, wellness programmes, as well as detoxifying and draining treatments. Alternatively, they may access the "Salt Room", where just one session provides the same benefits as spending three days by the sea.

Safe Spa Protocol

The "Safe Spa" protocol, developed by FoRST, the Foundation for Scientific Thermal Research, proved highly effective in 2020 and has been adopted again this year. The staff of Terme Isola d'Elba have already been vaccinated, the accommodation capacity has been reduced, and all safety regulations (face masks, social distancing, etc.) are strictly observed.

All common areas are cleaned and sanitised after every treatment, and the same procedure is carried out after each stay for all the Residence apartments.
