The Hidden Gem: If you are looking for quality, unique experiences and genuine hospitality... you have come to the right place!
Located on the Island of Elba, in the charming bay of Viticcio, perched above a crystal-clear sea and just 5 km from Portoferraio, Hotel Scoglio Bianco is a truly unique destination, ideal for those seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday in close contact with nature and the sea.
Enjoy exciting scuba diving experiences or pleasant hiking and mountain biking excursions along the surrounding trails of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. In particular, our guests can take part in free kayaking, snorkeling and trekking excursions, accompanied by the experienced environmental guides of Il Viottolo, according to a scheduled weekly programme.
Hotel Scoglio Bianco is truly a hidden gem, one of the few hotels located entirely within the National Park. It is managed directly by its owners, who have joined the Italian Ecohotel programme, committing themselves to sustainable tourism initiatives such as energy and water conservation, waste recycling, and the use of organic and non-GMO products.
In 2015, the Forgotten Fruit Garden was created in collaboration with Professor Agostino Stefani of the University of Pisa, restoring native fruit tree varieties. This project received the Legambiente Tourism Award and marked the beginning of the European CETS (European Charter for Sustainable Tourism) certification process.
That same year, the Wellness Area was inaugurated, featuring two outdoor whirlpool tubs with breathtaking views over the gulf, as well as a wellness room dedicated to massages and holistic treatments.
The rooms all have independent entrances and private bathrooms with shower and hairdryer. Some are also equipped with modern LCD TVs, telephone, minibar and sea-view terrace. Free private parking and complimentary Wi-Fi are available in the common areas.
Both the lounge bar and the restaurant offer spectacular sunset views over the Island of Elba, with the islands of Corsica and Capraia on the horizon.
Inspired by guests' reviews, special attention has been devoted in recent years to the restaurant, known as Soul Food. Thanks to its partnership with the Elbataste Consortium, its participation in Vetrina Toscana, and a restaurant open to external guests by reservation only, it offers a genuine and natural menu featuring traditional local cuisine and, above all, Mediterranean fish specialties.
A buffet breakfast is served every morning, including a selection of savoury and organic products.
